Term 3 - group program & MindUP for home workshop

Next term, I am excited to share that we will be offering a 7-week group program for students in Years 4-6.  Full details on the program can be found in this newsletter.  The AIM program is designed to help children increase their emotional awareness, identify their values and what is important to them, and take action towards achieving their personal goals. If you would like to place your child on the waitlist for this program, please email our Executive Teacher-Inclusion, Kim Mowbray (kim.mowbray@ed.act.edu.au). 

Next term we will also be offering a Bringing MindUP home workshop. This 30-minute workshop will provide an overview of the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) program being delivered at Charles Weston School. Information from the workshop can help you support your child's journey in improving resilience to face challenges with optimism, strength, and compassion.  It is a world-renowned preventative mental health program to equip students and their families with mental fitness tools and can support children who are experiencing anxiety, stress, or difficulty in remaining focussed.  There will be opportunities for questions.  Dates and times will be shared next term.  You can register your interest by clicking here.
